Welcome to Kip McGrath Batley!

For over 30 years Kip McGrath education centres around the world have been assisting  children overcome learning difficulties and  improve  their understanding of  Maths, English and other core subjects. The Kip model has proven to be highly successful as it utilises teaching resources which have been specifically designed, formulated and refined over the years to cater for a broad spectrum of age and ability.

Robina and Sajjad welcome parents to visit their  Centre in Batley.  The Centre has been designed on the model of a Kip  Gen 2 Centre having the very latest resources in software and teaching material.

Our Centre is conveniently located on Bradford Rd in Batley. It is adjacent to Batley Enterprise Centre and approximately 500 yds from Tesco. The Centre is easily accessible and has ample parking to the front on Bradford Rd as well as secure parking at the rear in Carlinghow Mills. The Centre is ideally located to serve the Batley, Batley Carr, Dewsbury North  and Birstall areas.

The Centre is run by Robina who  is a qualified teacher having over 16 years teaching experience in the Kirklees/Calderdale region. She is ably assisted by qualified teachers who have a wealth of experience in teaching Maths and English at primary and secondary levels. All our tutors have a Criminal Records Bureau check.

We believe that children perform better in an environment which is warm, friendly, relaxed and welcoming. Education is a process of learning wherein children are nurtured and given guidance  to achieve their potential as opposed to the grilling method which often leads the mind to shut down or rebel. Kip McGrath Batley will always endeavour to provide children a safe, proactive and stimulating environment allowing children to engage in a number of computer and workbook based activities at their own pace. Within this environment  each child benefits from the latest educational resources and teaching methodology to maximise potential and assimilation  without being overwhelmed.

The Centre caters for all abilities, not just those who are having learning difficulties. Our individually tailored programmes are designed and structured to build your child's confidence in the classroom and boost his/her level of attainment.

We are registered with Ofsted  on the voluntary part of the childcare register. This means that parents may be able to reduce the cost of lessons through  the Childcare element of Working Tax Credit. Please call the Centre for further information.

If your concerns are to raise attainment in literacy or numeracy in English and Maths for your child at Primary or  Secondary School then Kip McGrath Batley is the ideal centre to assist you. We offer professional tutoring in the following :

• Maths
• English (including reading, comprehension, spelling, writing skills and phonics)
• Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to GCSE level)

We also offer individually tailored courses for the following :

• 11+ tests for entry to local Grammar schools.
• GCSEs
• SATs

We have teachers who specialise in tutoring children for the local 11+ tests. The Centre has a vast array of  test papers and we also offer online access to children so they can do as many practice tests as they like at home.                       

Parents who make initial contact are invited to bring their child for a FREE ASSESSMENT TEST. This enables us to provide an accurate assessment of the child's learning status and abilities and to determine what his/her strengths and development needs are. It also provides an opportunity for parents and children to see the centre, meet the staff and decide if they want to enrol.

Personalised programmes are developed for each student, designed to target weaknesses and build on strengths. Tuition takes place after school and at weekends with each teaching session lasting 80 minutes. The sessions have up to 6 activities built into allowing children to access various teaching modules which are workbook and  interactive computer based.

Children benefit greatly from the individual tailored programmes  and activities as :

• Each child works at his/her own pace.
• Progress is carefully monitored and assessed.
• Children are tutored on a 1:1 basis within a small group of up to 4.
• There is a strong emphasis on motivation and success within the small groups.
• Homework is set and marked weekly. This reinforces what has been taught at each lesson.
