This centre has now been open for more than two years and is thriving under the watchful eye of its director Margaret Hairsine. Together with Val, Jan and Judith and Ray.

Centre Director Margaret Hairsine is of course a fully qualified teacher, has a Masters Degree in Education and over 30 years experience of teaching in schools and colleges around the area. Margaret is also a Governor at a local primary school.

 We tutor in English, Reading, Spelling, Comprehension, Handwriting and Maths for students at all levels and ages between 6 and 16 years. The centre is open for tutoring Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 8.20pm. Assessments are usually carried out on Friday and Saturday or can be arranged during school holidays.

The Beverley centre provides a purposeful atmosphere in which children and young people can work using the proven Kip McGrath curriculum, a mixture of written and computer materials which stimulate youngsters and maintain enthusiasm.

Following assessment an individual plan is drawn up for each student. Working on their own plan in a small group of four or five each student is motivated by their own success. In this atmosphere progress is sound and students are soon able to experience increased self esteem brought about by their success.
