The Dagenham Tutoring Centre is located on Chadwell Heath High Road. It is a spacious, well resourced, fun learning environment where children feel comfortable, happy and motivated to learn. We have good transport services to the following areas: Romford, Collier Row, Seven Kings, Newbury Park, Becton, Marks Gate, Barking, Chadwell Heath and Dagenham.
We aim to provide support for pupils who need the experience of working towards specific entrance exams, or for those who just need a little extra help in order to grasp the aspects of English or Maths they are studying in school.
Shelly Lindsay (BA Hons) is the Centre Director. Shelly is a UK trained, fully qualified, CRB checked teacher. She is a committed practitioner with a wealth of experience, from Primary through to G.C.S.E level. She is adept at developing pupils' self esteem thus raising personal aspiration and academic performance. She has current expertise in the mainstream sector in Redbridge and Barking and Dagenham.
What our parents and students say?
"Grace has only been attending the centre for a few months and her teacher has seen a great improvement. Her writing has gone from a 1c to a 2a and her maths from a 1c to a 3c. We are so pleased, thank you so much for all your help".
Mrs Wright 8.4.12
" My daughter achieved a level 5 in her Science SATs exam. I can't thank you enough, she will be back when she does her G.C.S.Es."
Mrs Bentham 17.7.12
"Alfie has a place at grammar school after attending Kip McGrath for only 7 months. Thank you so much for your help. We are over the moon."
Mrs Axel 2.5.12
"We were recommended to come to Kip McGrath by a friend of ours as her son had greatly improved. Our son Zahir was predicted a D in English G.C.S.E and an E in Maths. He has now been predicted a B in English and a C in Maths. We are so happy and only wished that we came to you sooner."
Mrs Iqbal 20.2.12
"I never thought I would say this but my daughter has gone up a whole level in her Maths. She used to really lack confidence and we always had tears doing her homework. Now she is confident and happy and she really enjoys Maths. Thank you so much for putting her at ease and building her confidence. She is like a different child."
Mr Atkins 27.4.12
"I am the proudest mum today. I took my daughter for an assessment and was so pleased with the results I got. I straight away registered my child to start next week. I was so pleased the way the centre manager Shelly Lindsay took her time to assess my daughter. The conversation that followed was so welcoming and I totally agreed with all of the points made. I shall work hand in hand with Shelly to make sure my daughter achieves the level required in the areas needed to improve. Overall, this is the best thing I have done and I am so pleased that I did it while she is still young."
Mrs Joseph 11.3.12
"Thank you so much for helping me with my G.C.S.E in Science, English and Maths. I got a B in Science, an A in Maths and a B in English. I couldn't have done it without your help!"
Gemma Atkins 3.9.12
"Two of my sons attended Kip McGrath and they achieved good SATs results. The tutors are very calm, patient, soothing and non-conditional. One of my sons is on the Autistic Spectrum, the setup and approach at Kip McGrath has enabled him to settle in effortlessly."
L Mackay 2.11.09
"My daughters have been attending Kip McGrath for a year now. They have thoroughly enjoyed attending and the kindness and patience by Dawn has helped them a lot. Their academic ability has improved significantly and Dawn has proved a support and inspiration to the girls."
"Before I came here I wasn't very good at spelling, now I am getting better because I come to Kip to learn. So if you are thinking about coming to Kip McGrath, then you should come because you will get better."
Jordan Aged 13
"The best way to tell you are getting better is by your test results at school. Mine are getting better and better."
