Kip McGrath Pontefract, established in 2004, has been run by the current directors, Mark and Angela Sellers since 2012. Having a wealth of experience in education, together with other members of the staff team, we aim to provide a positive experience for every student.

Using Kip McGrath’s tried and tested programmes in English and mathematics, our extremely professional, dedicated and caring staff will provide an environment where students can acquire the skills and knowledge which will enable them to progress academically, whilst also giving them the confidence necessary for continued improvement and success.

 

                                                

 

Having registered voluntarily as an approved Ofsted Centre, all our staff have enhanced CRB clearance. In addition to this, we comply fully with Ofsted’s Health and Safety requirements.

Initial Assessment

After the initial contact the student is invited for a free assessment. Once this is completed, we will discuss the outcomes and offer suggestions regarding the best way forward. This will require the student to have an individually tailored study programme devised using the Kip McGrath unique computer programmes and written curriculum resources.

Studying at the Centre

Students work on a variety of materials both written and computer based. During the 80 minute sessions the students work under the guidance and supervision of an assigned member of the teaching staff. The work is formulated to ensure that the student develops a clear knowledge and understanding of the areas of concern. All the programmes are planned so that progression is achievable whilst the student learns at a pace that is suitable for them. Homework is set to consolidate what has been learnt in the lesson.
