After the initial call a free assessment for the student is arranged. The outcome is discussed and a teaching programme is prepared. Progress is monitored weekly with parents being able to see for themselves the level of progress.

    Lessons

Each lesson lasts for 80 minutes. Each child is put on an individual learning plan and as a result they are given individual work on the computer as well as written, and do any corrections to homework. Each session will have 4 students, working independently. All books and stationery are provided. If your child is receiving assistance with reading, you will need a cassette player or computer, at home.

    Reports

After each session you child’s progress is evaluated and their next session is planned appropriately.

We prefer to keep discussions brief when you are dropping off or collecting your child to ensure we can spend the maximum time on tuition. However, you can make an appointment with the Centre Manager or call to discuss your child’s progress.

    Homework

Homework will be issued at the end of each lesson. It is very important for students to remember to do homework set and bring it in good condition to each lesson. It is suggested that your child does a little of the homework each evening. Audio tapes for reading are on loan and must be returned next lesson as another student may need them.
