The Kip McGrath Education Centre in Sheffield is one of many centres around the world. We offer professional tuition by qualified teachers, in reading, comprehension, writing, spelling, maths and science to children aged 6 to 16. We also have a range of A'Level courses available by request including  Biology and English.

Ofsted Registered

Since April 2012 we are Ofsted registered, this means that you may be eligible for help with tuition costs through government schemes. It also means that we now accept Childcare Vouchers. Ofsted registered organizations must adhere to strict guidelines regarding Health and Safety and operating procedures, you can therefore be assured that your children are left in the best possible care as they learn.

Teaching Resources

All our resources are unique to Kip McGrath Centres and have been thoroughly tested to ensure your child makes steady and continual progress in their learning. Lessons are taught through one to one teacher input, text books, bespoke software programs and worksheets; all of which are designed to give your child the joy of achievement in a fun and focussed environment.

How do we work?

Each student completes a free initial assessment. From this we can then create an educational programme designed specifically for your child. The programmes begin at the students level of understanding and aim to progress them as quickly as they are able.

The Sheffield Centre is conveniently located in Sheffield City Centre behind the Cathedral, on Campo Lane. It offers a safe, quiet and professional environment for students of all ages providing both evening and Saturday sessions along with holiday sessions.

We provide professional tuition in English, maths and science to children aged 6 - 16 years. Our methods and resources are unique to Kip McGrath Centres and have been proven to accelerate children's progress dramatically. On average, children make 3 times the progress at a Kip McGrath Centre than they do in school.

Children are supported according to their individual needs, whether they are falling behind their peers or striving to stay ahead, just beginning their schooling, being home schooled or coming to the end, our programs help them to achieve their full potential. We are now taking bookings for Summer School 2012, running from Monday 23rd July to Wednesday 29th August (our Ofsted registration means that you could qualify for help with the cost of Summer School).

During the summer holidays we run a flexible Summer School Programme. 

While it is important to give brains a break over the summer, it is also the perfect opportunity to build your child's confidence and self-esteem by setting them up for success in the new school year. Children are more susceptible to new learning over the summer as they aren't as tired and have more 'brain space' available.

Summer School can benefit children by; 

• Filling in gaps that may have appeared over the past year.
• Accelerating progress of children that have missed some of their schooling through absence or illness.
• Helping higher achieving pupils to recognise  their true potential.
• Preventing 'Brain Shut Down' over the long summer break.
• Summer School also gives you some time to yourself each week to catch up with friends or brows the shops!

Summer School will run throughout the six week holiday, open each week Monday to Wednesday with morning and afternoon sessions available. Lesson days and times can be arranged to suit you with most children attending one or two 80 minute sessions a week. Early booking is recommended as there are limited places and these tend to be filled quickly.
