Kip McGrath Wandsworth opened in March 2008 and joined the 280 Kip McGrath Centres operating in the UK, who are successfully involved with helping students master English, Mathematics, Reading and Spelling.

Conveniently situated in the Wandsworth Town Centre, (2 minute walk from the Southside Shopping Complex), we offer expert and professional tuition by qualified and caring teachers for children aged six to sixteen (Years 1 - 11.)

Patrick Mostert, the Centre Director, is a qualified teacher with over 30 years experience, both here and abroad. His successful career has included roles as class teacher, head of department, deputy head and head-teacher. His vast teaching experience enables him to rapidly pinpoint children's areas of need and establish the most effective ways to help them succeed and thrive educationally.

At Kip McGrath Wandsworth we provide affordable and expert tuition in Maths, English, Reading and Spelling for children with a wide range of abilities.

Lessons take place after school and on weekends and children are taught on a one to one basis within small groups of five. Our resources fully complement the National Curriculum taught in UK Primary and Secondary schools.

How we help:

Based on the results of a free diagnostic assessment in Maths, Reading, Spelling and Writing which highlights the child’s needs and strengths, an individual programme of work is designed. During an 80 minute session (once per week) students work through a tailored learning programme and rotate between individual time with the tutors, computer work and integrated structured worksheets and workbooks.

At Kip McGrath Wandsworth there is a strong emphasis on motivation and success. Each student’s individual programme begins at an appropriate level so that they are extended and challenged, but never overwhelmed.

We also help students who are working towards specific exams, such as 11+, SATs and GCSE.

Ofsted Registration:

We are registered with OFSTED (since June 2009) and parents who are eligible for working tax credits may use them to pay for sessions at the centre. We are also registered for, and can accept childcare vouchers as payment or in part payment of sessions.
