About Kip McGrath Canterbury

At Kip McGrath Canterbury we focus on English, maths, 11plus and Kent test preparation. Centre Directors, Muserat and Muhammad Awan have 30 years of teaching experience each, and have taught in a variety of school settings. We are OFSTED registered, which means if you are entitled to Working Tax Credits, you can claim up to 70% off your tuition fees. Please ask at the Centre for more details.

We will create an individual learning programme specifically designed to suit your child’s needs. Each session includes one-on-one attention with a qualified teacher, and a combination of written and computer-based activities in a small group, with up to 4 students. Kip McGrath Canterbury tutors are qualified teachers, and by using our proven methods and techniques, we can help your child to improve or close the gaps in their learning. You’ll be kept informed with ongoing progress reports and regular tutor feedback.

Meet Muserat and Muhammad Awan. Centre Directors. We are both UK qualified teachers with QTS status. We are a husband and wife team and have been teaching since 1993, in a variety of school settings, in a range of locations. (UK, UAE and South East Asia). During this time, we have had the opportunity to teach children from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. We have been running the centre, for nearly ten years. The Centre is now well known in the community, and established as a key tutoring centre in the area. We have a great reputation, with students progressing well and achieving good results and increased confidence in their learning. We have been part of some great success stories and are proud of all our students!
