Chris Baptist

The dedicated owner of Kip McGrath Darlington since 2015. With a diverse background, Chris began his career as a Civil Engineer before transitioning into education. He earned his teaching qualifications through Carmel School and a Postgraduate Certificate in Pedagogy, subsequently teaching mathematics at Hummersknott School and Language College. Prior to his teaching career, Chris served over a decade as a Police Officer with Northumbria Police, gaining invaluable experience in community engagement and leadership. Under his guidance, our centre has delivered over 20,000 lessons, positively impacting the academic journeys of numerous students. Chris’s unwavering commitment to personalised education ensures that each student receives tailored support to unlock their full potential.
