About Kip McGrath Dewsbury South

Kip McGrath Dewsbury South is located in Thornhill Lees, not far from Dewsbury Town Centre. We have been open since September 2012 and have grown rapidly with most of our pupils coming through to us from referrals from previous parents and students. We have a dedicated team of experienced staff ranging from Year 1 teachers to Specialists in GCSE and 11plus preparation.
Initial assessments are FREE.

For ongoing tuition, pupils follow individualised learning programmes based on their weaknesses with the teacher they are allocated. We have one teacher to 4/5 child ratio in the tuition sessions and GCSE sessions are often smaller based on demand. Pupils are reassessed after 16 weeks and further targets are set. Parents have regular feedback and homework is set online and we follow the new Kip Learn programme.

Shazia Anjum Rasheed

Our Centre Manager is Shazia Anjum Rasheed. Shazia set up the Dewsbury South franchise initially in 2014. She has since returned to lead the centre in March 2023. Shazia has over 25 years experience in Secondary teaching as well as Pastoral and other management experience. Shazia grew up in Dewsbury and therefore is very aware of the needs of the pupils surrounding the area and really passionate about supporting pupils and parents to achieve their goals.
