At Kip McGrath Wigan North, we pride ourselves on building confidence. Handily located next to the Asda Superstore in Wigan, we tutor students from 6 to 18!

Our highly qualified teachers are committed to providing bespoke tuition plans for our students. Being OFSTED registered ensures a professional and caring approach. It also means we accept childcare vouchers for lesson fees.

The initial FREE assessment is relaxed and friendly but identifies strengths and gaps in learning. This allows us to build every student an individual tuition plan. We then use a combination of resources (matched to the National Curriculum) to help our students make progress.
Our innovative reading programme sees students make double the normal rate of progress in reading and comprehension. Our maths students regularly move up a year in less than 6 months.

Meet our Centre Manager,
Sue Hodson

Sue Hodson is the centre manager at Wigan North. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Sue is committed to helping every child achieve their potential. Working in primary schools, she was a Leading Literacy teacher for Wigan and a Primary Maths Specialist teacher. Sue was a SENCO for several years and is a qualified dyslexia teacher and assessor. In the last 10 years, at Kip Wigan North, she has built a fantastic team of committed teachers who work together to provide the best possible outcomes for all students. The centre is a warm, friendly and safe space to learn.
