The Kip McGrath Education Centre York North is owned by Ryan Welch.

Following an initial career in engineering, I retrained in computer engineering and at 26 started to teach basic computer skills to children and adults within local councils and community centres. After a few years I was approached by a parent of one of the students I taught and he complimented me on my rapport with the children and he insisted I come to see him the following week at his place of work. He was the Deputy head of Thornton Grammar School (TGS) where I gained employment and began to study teaching at Bradford University.

Once I was qualified I worked in both primary and secondary schools to fully understand the journey children make through education and their experiences throughout. At Kip McGrath I have found a programme that supports children whatever their ability, learning style and most importantly, one that works.
